  24. I had a Zoom V34i that I bought after success with their 14400 model.

  26. Mistake!   Even with the latest ROM upgrade it connected mostly at 24000 and
  27. 26400 and file transfers were not up to s[peeds of the US Robotics Sportster
  28. 33.6 and Motorola Power 28.8 I tested.

  30. I settled on the Motorola Power since it connected at 28800 more than the
  31. others, and the file transfers were solid and faster than the Zoom, about the
  32. same as the USR.

  34. Motorola is going to announce a 33.6 upgrade for the Power series in a few
  35. weeks, which will make them a finer modem!!
